Post Matric Scholarship 2026 — Online Apply, Eligibility, Last Date & NSP Guide

12वीं के बाद पढ़ाई जारी रखना कई students के लिए financially कठिन होता है। इसी समस्या को दूर करने के लिए केंद्र सरकार हर साल Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) देती है — जो SC, ST, OBC और EBC students को Class 11 से लेकर Post-Graduation तक financial support देती है। इस scholarship के लिए apply करना बिल्कुल free है और पैसे directly आपके bank account में DBT के जरिए आते हैं।

Post Matric Scholarship क्या है?

Post Matric Scholarship एक Central Government scheme है जो Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (SC/OBC/EBC के लिए) और Ministry of Tribal Affairs (ST के लिए) द्वारा चलाई जाती है। यह scholarship National Scholarship Portal (NSP) के माध्यम से apply होती है।

इस scheme में मिलता है:

• Tuition fee reimbursement (पूरी या आंशिक)

• Maintenance allowance (monthly)

• Book allowance

• Thesis/research students के लिए additional support

• Visually/physically challenged students को extra Rs. 1,200–2,400 per year

Eligibility — कौन apply कर सकता है?

Category के आधार पर

Course के आधार पर

• Class 11 और 12 (किसी भी stream से)

• ITI और Diploma courses

• Graduation (BA, B.Com, B.Sc., B.Tech, MBBS, B.Pharm आदि)

• Post-Graduation (MA, M.Com, MBA, M.Tech, MD आदि)

• PhD और Research courses

अन्य conditions

• Government या recognized private institution में enrolled होना जरूरी है

• एक समय पर दो full-tuition scholarships नहीं मिल सकतीं

• Fresh application के लिए minimum percentage की कोई requirement नहीं — केवल income और caste certificate चाहिए

• Renewal के लिए previous year में pass होना जरूरी है

Scholarship Amount — कितना मिलता है?

Amount course level और hostel/day scholar status के अनुसार अलग होता है:

Professional और technical courses (MBBS, B.Tech, Law) में full tuition fee reimbursement भी मिल सकती है। कुछ cases में total support Rs. 1,20,000+ per year तक जा सकती है।

Documents Required — क्या-क्या चाहिए?

• Aadhaar Card (student का)

• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC — valid और updated)

• Income Certificate (parents/guardian की — सभी sources मिलाकर)

• Bonafide Certificate (college/institute से)

• Previous year mark sheet / passing certificate

• Bank Passbook (student के नाम से — Aadhaar-linked होना जरूरी)

• Passport size photo

• Fee receipt (college की current year की)

Important: Bank account student के अपने नाम पर होना चाहिए। Parents के account में scholarship नहीं आती।

NSP पर Apply कैसे करें — Step by Step

Step 1 — OTR Number बनाएं (नया 2026 requirement)

NSP पर अब One Time Registration (OTR) जरूरी है। यह 14-digit number आपकी पूरी academic career के लिए valid रहता है।

• scholarships.gov.in पर जाएं

• "New Registration / OTR" पर click करें

• Aadhaar number और mobile OTP से verify करें

• OTR number save करें — यह बार-बार काम आएगा

Step 2 — Login करें

OTR number और password से NSP portal पर login करें।

Step 3 — Scholarship Select करें

• "Apply for Scholarship" पर click करें

• अपनी category select करें: SC / ST / OBC / EBC

• Post Matric Scholarship for [your state] select करें

Step 4 — Form Fill करें

• Personal details (name, DOB, Aadhaar, address)

• Course details (college, course name, year)

• Bank account details

• Income और caste details

Step 5 — Documents Upload करें

सभी documents PDF format में upload करें (maximum 500 KB each)।

Step 6 — Submit और Acknowledgement Save करें

Final submit के बाद acknowledgement number note करें। इसी से आप status track कर सकते हैं।

Application Timeline 2026-27 (Expected)

NSP portal पर exact dates announce होती हैं। October से पहले अपने सभी documents ready रखें।

Renewal Application — पुराने students के लिए

अगर आप पहले से scholarship ले रहे हैं तो हर साल renewal करना होता है।

Renewal के लिए जरूरी:

• Previous year में pass होना (no backlog policy)

• Same college/course में enrolled रहना

• Bank account और Aadhaar linking updated रखें

• NSP पर renewal form fill करना

Common Mistakes जो reject करवाती हैं

1. Bank account parents के नाम पर — scholarship student के account में ही जाती है

2. Income certificate expire हो गई — current year की income certificate होनी चाहिए

3. Aadhaar bank से link नहीं — DBT fail होती है, पैसे नहीं आते

4. OTR number generate नहीं किया — 2026 से OTR mandatory है

5. Documents 500 KB से बड़े — upload reject होता है

6. Institute verification pending — college से follow-up करते रहें

अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्न

क्या एक साथ दो scholarships मिल सकती हैं?

नहीं। अगर आप NSP पर Post Matric Scholarship और किसी state scholarship दोनों के लिए apply करते हैं तो जो ज्यादा amount देगी वही मिलेगी। दोनों एक साथ नहीं मिलतीं।

Fresh application में minimum marks चाहिए?

नहीं। Fresh application के लिए कोई minimum percentage नहीं है। केवल income limit और caste certificate जरूरी है। Renewal के लिए previous year pass होना जरूरी है।

Scholarship कब तक bank में आती है?

Institute और state verification complete होने के बाद 3–6 months में DBT के जरिए Aadhaar-linked bank account में amount आता है।
